Baytril 10% is an injectable fluoroquinolone antibiotic containing enrofloxacin for cattle, sheep and goats.
- Each ml contains 100 mg enrofloxacin.
- Cattle: respiratory infections (Pasteurella, Mannheimia, Mycoplasma), acute E. coli mastitis, alimentary tract infections, septicaemia and Mycoplasma arthritis.
- Sheep and goats: alimentary tract infections, septicaemia and mastitis; respiratory infections in goats.
- Given by intravenous, subcutaneous or intramuscular injection depending on species.
Directions for use: Cattle: 5 mg/kg bw (1 ml/20 kg), once daily for 3–5 days, by IV, SC or IM injection; maximum 10 ml per SC site. Sheep and goats: 5 mg/kg bw (1 ml/20 kg), once daily by SC injection for 3 days; maximum 6 ml per SC site. Withdrawal period: cattle (IV) meat 5 days, milk 3 days; cattle (SC) meat 12 days, milk 4 days; sheep meat 4 days, milk 3 days; goats meat 6 days, milk 4 days.
