TeknoVet Carbotek Perfusion Solution

Carbotek is a sodium bicarbonate 8.4% infusion solution (84 mg/ml, 1 mEq/ml) from TeknoVet, Turkey. 100 ml bottle.

• Metabolic acidosis from kidney disease, uncontrolled diabetes, shock, severe dehydration or circulatory failure
• Severe lactic acidosis
• Respiratory and renal acidosis
• For horses, cattle, sheep, goats, dogs and cats

Directions for use: Unless the veterinarian advises otherwise, give slowly by intravenous infusion, undiluted (8.4%) or isotonic (1.5%) according to the patient's condition. About 2–5 ml/kg body weight over 4–8 hours, adjusted to the severity of acidosis, blood pH and clinical state. If plasma CO2 is unknown, the average dose is about 2 ml/kg, diluted in 5% dextrose, isotonic saline or another suitable solution.

Withdrawal period: meat and milk 0 days.
