Electrolene Paste is an oral electrolyte paste with B-group vitamins, vitamin E and folic acid for hard-working or dehydrated horses and ponies.
- Per gram: sodium 63.0 mg, chloride 208.8 mg, potassium 81.3 mg, calcium 21.2 mg, magnesium 2.96 mg and zinc 1.34 mg.
- Also supplies vitamin E, folic acid and vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12.
- For use after exercise or transport to help replace electrolytes lost in sweat.
Directions for use: Give orally over the back of the tongue. Horses (450–500 kg): moderate work (30–60 minutes) 30 g immediately after exercise; heavy work (1–2 hours) 60 g immediately after exercise; after long-distance transport 30–60 g on arrival. In heavily sweating horses the dose can be repeated after 15–30 minutes. Ponies (250–300 kg): half the horse dose. Always provide fresh, clean drinking water after dosing.
