Zoetis Lectade Plus

Lectade Plus is a powder for oral rehydration therapy in calves with diarrhoea, helping reverse dehydration, acidosis and electrolyte loss.

• Supplied as paired sachets: Sachet A (electrolytes and glycine) and Sachet B (glucose).
• Reconstituted solution provides sodium, potassium, chloride, citrate, phosphate, glycine and glucose.
• Suitable for diarrhoea caused by bacteria, viruses, cryptosporidia or inappropriate nutrition.
• Withdrawal period: zero days for meat and offal.

Directions for use: Add the contents of both sachets A and B to 2 litres of fresh water at about 35°C. First 2 days: withdraw milk or milk replacer and offer 2 litres of solution twice daily (four feeds). Next 4 feeds: 1 litre of solution mixed with 1 litre of milk or milk replacer, then feed as normal. Severe scouring: feed the solution three or four times daily. Do not use alone for more than four days. Discard solution not consumed within 24 hours.
