Metafos is an injectable phosphorus supplement from TeknoVet, Turkey, containing toldimfos sodium 200 mg/ml (14% organically bound phosphorus). 100 ml vial.
- Prevention and treatment of phosphorus deficiency
- For cattle, sheep, goats, horses, dogs and cats
- IV, IM or SC injection
Directions for use: Dose to be set by the veterinarian according to the animal's phosphorus need. Cattle, sheep, goats and horses: 10 mg/kg (1 ml per 20 kg body weight). Dogs and cats: 20 mg/kg (0.5 ml per 5 kg). Usually 3–5 injections at 3-day intervals are enough. In emergencies, half the dose may be given IV and the rest IM or SC. In chronic deficiency, 5–10 injections (IM or SC) may be given at 48-hour intervals.
Withdrawal period: meat and milk 0 days.
