An acepromazine oral gel in a multi-dose syringe, used to quieten excitable or hard-to-handle horses.
- Acepromazine maleate 12 mg/mL; 30 mL multi-dose syringe
- Helps settle nervous horses for transport, turn-out, shoeing, clipping and dentistry
- Can be used as a pre-anaesthetic agent
- Has little or no pain-relieving effect
Directions for use: Give orally: 4 mL–10 mL per 450 kg bodyweight (0.11 to 0.26 mg per kg bodyweight). Best given on an empty stomach 30 minutes before feeding. Use the lowest effective dose in stallions and geldings because of the risk of penile prolapse.
