Jaapharm Toxilax

Toxilax is an oral detoxicant and laxative powder from Jaapharm Canada (DIN 02240512) for horses, cattle and sheep, given as a drench or by stomach tube.

• Composition (% w/w): magnesium sulfate heptahydrate 54.0%, sodium sulfate 25.0%, sodium thiosulfate 10.0%, magnesium carbonate 5.25%, ginger 1.25%, iron oxide 1.0%, calcium phosphate tribasic 1.0%, plus fenugreek, gentian, linseed and ethylenediamine dihydroiodide
• Acts as a detoxicant at lower doses and as a purgative at higher doses
• Licensed for horses, beef and dairy cattle and sheep
• An accurate body-weight estimate is essential; consult a veterinarian before use in severely debilitated animals or if no improvement within 24 hours

Directions for use: Mature cattle and horses: 1 g/kg body weight as a detoxicant or 2 g/kg for purgative action. Calves, colts and sheep: 1.0 g/kg as a detoxicant or 1.5 g/kg for purgative action. Mix each gram of powder with 2 mL of water and give orally as a drench or by stomach tube. One dose is usually sufficient; a second dose may be given after 24 hours if needed or as directed by a veterinarian.
