Randlab Zycan Injection

An injectable polysulfated glycosaminoglycan (PSGAG) for horses, classed as a disease-modifying osteoarthritis drug.

• Polysulfated glycosaminoglycan 100 mg/mL; carton of 7 x 5 mL vials
• For treatment and prevention of clinical signs of degenerative and/or traumatic aseptic joint disease
• Used for lameness associated with degenerative joint disease
• Also used for chronic joint maintenance and post-operative care after joint surgery

Directions for use: Intramuscular injection: 500 mg (5 mL) per 500 kg horse, repeated every 4th day for 7 injections (i.e. 28 days). Weekly injections have also been shown to be effective. The course may be repeated if clinical signs return.
